Celebrating a ‘clean bill of health’ report from regulators

We are celebrating receiving a glowing report from Welsh Government’s housing regulators, published today (Thursday, 11 June).

In the latest judgement from the regulators, we were awarded a green rating for both Governance & Service Delivery and Financial Viability. This is the highest possible rating available. I

Indeed, many housing associations have now gone through the new regulatory framework coordinated by the Welsh Government, with some achieving green rating status. However, we’re the only Housing Association to date to obtain green rating status with no recommendations for improvements from the Regulator.

This judgement follows a nine month assessment where we provided information on our performance, long term planning, use of data and how we manage our homes.

Iwan Trefor Jones, our Chief Executive, said: “The regulators have given us a clean bill of health and we’re delighted to receive such a glowing report.

“We put a lot of emphasis on our performance as an organisation and how we plan to make sure we provide quality homes that are safe and comfortable for our tenants in communities across North Wales.

“Key to this is making sure that we have robust plans to manage our finances, how we invest in our current homes and plan to build new homes in the future.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better outcome and the regulators noted in their feedback that it’s very rare to have a report like this with no recommendations for improvement”.
