Community Stars

Do you know any of our customers who make a difference in our communities or goes the extra mile to help others?

If so, you can nominate them for a Community Star award.

 

Nominate

Every three months, we select winners from four different categories, to receive a cash prize.

Anyone can nominate, from:

  • neighbours
  • staff
  • Councillors
  • other members of the public

To nominate one of our customers, choose the most relevant category from the list below and send an e-mail to our Community Involvement Team explaining why they should win an award: cymunedol@adra.co.uk

Good neighbour

This category is for individuals who go the extra mile to help others in their communities.

Examples include someone who helps the elderly, helps vulnerable people, organises community events or sets a good example to others.

Good idea

This category is for individuals who come up with good ideas which would benefit our communities.

Examples include an idea to reduce anti-social behaviour, an idea to improve the environment, an idea to improve the appearance of your neighbourhood or an idea for activities/events for elderly or young people.

Young people’s award

This category is for individuals under 25 years old who make a difference in our communities.

Examples include helping the elderly, helping vulnerable people, doing voluntary work in the community, arranging community events, or setting a good example to others.

Green award

This category is for individuals who carry out work to improve the environment.

Examples include promoting recycling, arranging litter picks, keep gardens/ communal areas / streets and estates tidy or promoting and encouraging ways of saving energy.
