Funds to make our homes more energy efficient

We’re delighted to be one of a number of organisations across Wales and England  that will receive a share of £1.2 million funding towards studies to improve heating systems in their homes.

The investment from the Heat Network Energy Efficiency Scheme (HNES) announced today (Wednesday, 20 May) will be used to review the performance of heat systems for the Fron Deg and Pentra Uchaf heat networks in Gwynedd, serving 39 residents and to identify how the systems can be improved.

Owain Owen, Head of Property (Assets), said: “We’re delighted that we were successful in our funding application to carry out studies on two networks in Gwynedd that will eventually lead to more efficient, reliable and cost-effective heating.

“This will not only help customers to reduce their heat energy bills but will also make their homes more energy efficient”.

“This contributes to the priority in our Corporate Plan to improve our homes.  We’re investing in our homes to make them safer and better. By 2030, we want our homes to be more energy efficient through better insulation, renewable energy sources, and modern technology to keep homes comfortable and efficient.

“Funding like this helps us towards achieving that goal”.
