Adra to celebrate pride in its communities

Adra, North Wales’ largest housing association will be joining in a major event in Caernarfon next week to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.

North Wales Pride was established in 2011 and the festival brings people together, especially those who may feel isolated in rural areas, creating a supportive and welcoming environment.

Through live music, performances, and a parade, North Wales Pride aims to promote diversity and inclusivity, and to foster a sense of community and belonging for all individuals.Representatives from Adra will be joining hundreds of people in the celebrations, taking part in Caernarfon on Saturday, 24 June.

Sarah Schofield, Adra’s Director of Customers and Communities, said: “We’re delighted to be joining the parade and show our support to the LGBTQIA+ community in North Wales.

“Our organisation is committed to equality, diversity and inclusivity and we want to work in and live in communities where people can feel proud and live their lives without any kind of discrimination.

“Events like North Wales Pride are great to show that commitment and support in a fun and engaging environment and we look forward to joining everyone in the celebrations”.
