Frondeg, Pwllheli Opens

Adra is pleased to announce the opening of its latest housing scheme in Pwllheli. The Frondeg development comprises 28 self-contained flats designed to meet the needs of residents over the age of 55 and those with disabilities.

Key Features of the Scheme include:

  • 28 Self-Contained Flats: Purpose-built to provide comfortable and independent living spaces for over 55’s and disabled residents.
  • Communal Lounge and Kitchen: Fostering a sense of community and providing shared spaces for socialising and relaxation.
  • Convenient Location: Proximity to local amenities ensures easy access to essential services and a vibrant community atmosphere.
  • On-Site Warden: Residents will benefit from the presence of a dedicated warden on site for 18 hours a week, offering support and assistance as needed.

The scheme was recently visited by Craig ab Iago, the Cabinet Member for Housing and Property from Cyngor Gwynedd, and Elin Hywel, Pwllheli North Councillor. Elliw Owen, the Senior Development Project Manager, guided the guests through the facilities, showcasing the well-designed communal spaces and highlighting the innovative air source heat pump that will keep residents warm throughout the year.

This development is part of a partnership between Cyngor Gwynedd and Adra as part of Gwynedd’s Affordable Housing Development Programme. This scheme was funded by the Welsh Government through Cyngor Gwynedd’s Social Housing Grant. It contributes to the Council’s goal of constructing 700 social houses within the county by 2026/27.

Daniel Parry, Director of Development at Adra was also present at the recent visit.

“We are thrilled that we are able to open our doors at Frondeg. We appreciate the patience and understanding from the residents whilst the work was being completed after a delay. We have ensured that these are quality homes that the residents can be proud of.

We are confident that the carefully planned amenities and thoughtful design of the scheme will enhance the quality of life for our residents. I look forward to seeing a community blossom here as the residents settle in over the coming months.”

Adra is committed to providing high-quality housing solutions, and we believe that this scheme will not only meet but exceed the expectations of our residents. We are grateful for the support of the local community and look forward to fostering a strong sense of community within our new development.
