Great team effort on fundraising walk

A kind hearted team from Adra took part in a recent 15 mile sponsored walk – all in the aid of charity.

Over 30 people took part in the walk from Tŷ Coch (Parc Menai, Bangor)  to Penygroes, through Caernarfon, Dinas and Groeslon.

The walk was arranged to fundraise for the Kidney Patients Association at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Adra’s chosen charity for the year – in memory of colleague Dylan Edwin.

Heledd Owens, Adra’s Head of Finance, said: “We were delighted that so many colleagues were eager to join the walk to raise money for this cause which is so close to our hearts.

“A target of £1,000 was set and to date we have raised £2,850 which is a phenomenal effort, so a massive thank you for everyone’s fundraising efforts and the financial contributions.

“Dylan’s family were extremely touched by our efforts and it was an honour to have members of the family joining us on the walk.

“What was great to see was a real Adra team spirit and despite the walk being hard going towards the end of the 15 miles, everyone finished with a smile”.
