Adra promotes construction jobs

Adra, the largest housing association in North Wales is holding a job fair to promote up to 20 new skilled jobs that will be created over the next year.

The Job Fair will be held at Ty Gwyrddfai on the Penygroes Industrial Estate (the old Northwood factory) on Wednesday, April 26 between 4pm and 7pm.

Staff from Adra’s Repair Team (the company’s internal contractors) will promote skilled jobs in the world of housing construction and maintenance and will also be targetting small, local contractors.

Paul Painter, Assistant Director of Maintenance with Adra, said: “This is a great opportunity for us to promote the opportunities that will be available within Adra over the next year. We are a growing company and therefore the demand for practical skills within the company is increasing.

“There will be an opportunity to speak with Adra staff about the opportunities available and people can express an interest in receiving information when we are ready to advertise the positions.

“The fair is being held at Ty Gwyrddai, which is our new decarbonisation hub. Over the coming months, we will develop the site further and create training pods, in partnership with Llandrillio Menai Group and Bangor University.

“We will train our own staff, students and maintenance teams in skills that will be needed for us to decarbonise our houses and it will be a great facility that will not only offer training but create future workers, invest money in our communities and keep the pound local. It’s an extremely exciting time in the history of Ty Gwyrddfai”.
