Adra marches to celebrate pride in their communities.

Adra, North Wales’ largest housing association, joined over 2,000 people on the streets of Caernarfon on Saturday 24th June to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community as part of the North Wales Pride parade.

North Wales Pride was established in 2011 and is an event that celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community and offers opportunities to bring people together and reduce loneliness in rural areas, by creating a supportive and welcoming environment.

Iwan Trefor Jones, Chief Executive of Adra, said: “It was a privilege to be able to take part in the parade, and to have the opportunity to show our support for the LGBTQIA+ community in North Wales.

“We as an organisation are committed to equality, diversity and inclusiveness and we want everyone to be able to work and live in communities where people can feel proud and live their lives without any form of discrimination.

“Events like North Wales Pride are a great opportunity to show our commitment and support in a fun and engaging atmosphere.

“We would like to take the opportunity to congratulate the organisers on the success of the celebrations.”
