More tenants move into Adra’s latest development.

The latest phase of a large housing development in Prestatyn is now being completed, with more tenants moving into their brand-new homes.

Adra, North Wales’ largest housing association is leading on the development of 102 homes on the Plas Newydd Farm site in Prestatyn. The contractor for the development is Castle Green Homes.

50 properties have now been handed over, with the rest to be completed in phases until March 2024.

The latest properties to be completed included intermediate rent units (Tai Teg), one of the new tenants to move in was Hannah: “Living in this new Adra house, means that me and my little boy have the security of a home that nobody will take from us.

“The support from Ceri throughout the build with updates has been brilliant, and there was never a time I didn’t feel I could approach her to answer any queries. My whole experience has been great with Ceri from Adra and Castle Green Homes. The home is beautiful, and I can already tell that me and my little boy will settle in well there and make it a real home together.”

Owen Bracegirdle, Adra’s Senior Development Project Manager, said: “We are very pleased to see more properties being completed and handed over to our tenants at Plas Newydd Farm.

“There is so much demand for affordable housing in this part of Denbighshire, which reflects the national picture. Adra has made a firm commitment in its Corporate Plan to build new, high quality and affordable homes that people can be proud of, and we are committed to continuing the work, with the aim of completing it by spring. ”
