Our first new-build development in Denbighshire gets underway

We are proud to be branching out across north Wales with work starting on our first new-build development in Trefnant, Denbighshire.

13 homes are being built as part of the £1.7 million scheme on the former greenfield site opposite to the Trefnant Inn. The homes will be a mixture of:

  • 8 two-bedroom homes
  • 4 three-bedroom homes
  • a two-bedroom detached bungalow.

The homes are being built by local company, Brenig Construction.

We provide quality homes in north Wales and currently look after 6,300 homes, providing services and support to over 14,000 customers. They have completed their first schemes at Wrexham, Conwy with many more in the pipeline.

Last year, we were approved to be zoned in

  • Conwy
  • Denbighshire
  • Wrexham
  • and most recently in Flintshire

which means they can now apply for Welsh Government grants to build affordable homes in these four counties as well as Gwynedd.

Our Chief Executive, Ffrancon Williams explains: “We are delighted to be forming exciting new partnerships across north Wales, providing quality and affordable homes for those in need.

“As a progressive and growing company, we are aiming to build 550 new homes over the next three years. We have formed great new partnerships with local authorities, with the Single Access Route to Housing (SARTH) housing register and affordable housing register, Tai Teg as well as with many contractors and developers who will work with us on building these homes.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank our partners at Denbighshire Council for welcoming us as a new partner, we look forward to developing many more homes with their support over the coming years. There are exciting times ahead.”

Brenig will be employing local people and using the local supply chain to deliver these much-needed homes in Denbighshire. We will also be providing a number of apprenticeship and training opportunities as the works progress.”
