Sarah said: “It was a privilege to take part on the panel to discuss careers at Ysgol y Creuddyn. It is extremely important that we have these discussions with young people and inspire them.

“There are so many different opportunities available in the housing sector, from construction jobs to corporate jobs, and much more!”

Sophie Lewis, Adra Community Housing Officer joined the tour at Ysgol Glan Clwyd. Sophie said: “When I was at school, I didn’t want to go to university, and I believe it’s important that pupils realise that you don’t have to go to university in order to have a successful career.

“I took part in a Housing Training scheme with Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd at the time, and five years later I am still enjoying my job and enjoy working for Adra.”

Adra offers a variety of opportunities through the Academi Adra scheme, which offers courses and paid work placements in various fields, from construction to customer service. More information about Academi Adra can be found here: Academi Adra – Adra
