Smart Homes scheme are recruiting

We have an exciting new trial starting soon and are looking for people to take part.

Our Smart homes scheme will put sensors in homes to monitor a variety of things from movement to heat in the home. We are hoping that the scheme will help people to live independently longer in their own homes.

Haydn Maxwell our Neighbourhood Services Manager is part of the scheme and says:

“With an ageing population more and more of us will be affected by dementia and memory loss through loved ones, and it’s difficult. We’re hoping that these sensors will give people piece of mind that their nearest and dearest are safe at home”

The Smart Homes Scheme are looking for families to take part in the trial now.
