Plas Hedd Residents benefiting from our Community Investment Fund

Plas Hedd were the successful applicants in this round of our Community Investment Fund. The fund is a chance for communal or voluntary groups to receive grant funding of up to a £1,000. The grant funding will hopefully improve our communities and the lives of our residents.

Plas Hedd is in the middle of Maesgeirchen, they can accommodate 28 residents and work closely with the local community. Local Councillor Nigel Pickavance applied on behalf of the home to receive funding to but more games and equipment for the residents. Many residents live with dementia, board games are a great way to keep the mind active.

Mari from our Community Team visited Plas Hedd recently and she said: “It was a pleasure visiting Plas Hedd to see the residents enjoying the games and equipment they bought with the funding from the Fund.

Local councillor Nigel Pickavance made an application to receive funding to buy games on behalf of the home. Many of the residents here are living with dementia, there are many benefits of playing board games when living with dementia.
