Ending your tenancy
To end your tenancy you need to give us at least four full weeks’ notice in writing and include all your new contact details..

Before you move
Here is a list of things that you need to do before you move out:
- allow access to our staff at a reasonable time to do an inspection
- pay all rent/charges
- make sure that all Housing Benefit applications and over payments are resolved
- clear all the furniture, rubbish, carpets and personal belongings from the home, including the attic
- clear all rubbish and unwanted item from the garden shed
Checklist
- Take final reading for gas, electric and water meters and let your suppliers know
- Disconnect the phone, contact the telephone company to get a final account at your present address and to take over/install a telephone at your new address
- Tell your broadband provider and Sky that you are moving
- Tell TV licencing that you are moving
- Contact Royal Mail to re-direct your post to your new address
- In cold weather, turn off the water supply in the mains
